Prescribed Fire Council Meeting!
Friday, November 8, 2024
The 2024 Central Florida Prescribed Fire Council Annual Meeting will be hosted in person in Kissimmee, FL at the Osceola Heritage Park (in the Extension Services building) and virtually on Zoom with the Southern Fire Exchange. There will be equipment demonstrations, sponsor booths, raffle prizes, and lunch (pizza + vegetarian and vegan options) for in person participants.
Attend in person or virtually to receive Florida Certified Burn Manager credit.
Society of American Foresters (SAF) Continuing Forestry Education (CFE) credit expected.
To receive credit, you must attend in person or participate in the full Zoom experience (excluding the lunch break). Attendance via call-in is not eligible for either credit. If you plan to view the virtual meeting as group from a single screen, all credit-seeking viewers will need to register individually for virtual attendance and have one member of the group email marmstrong@talltimbers.org with a list of names and email addresses of each attendee.

We highly encourage you to attend in person to take advantage of important networking opportunities with your peers and vendors as well as participate in fire related equipment demonstrations. The meeting space has the capacity to accommodate 180 people and we are expected to fill up quickly so please register early if planning to attend. Registration for the virtual experience will remain open until the meeting time. Both in person and virtual attendees will be able to view sponsor videos during the coffee break.
If planning to attend in person we ask that you respect that this meeting is a free day of education provided by a volunteer based non-profit organization. We will make food plans and accommodations based on registration numbers, so if you register for in-person attendance and are later unable to attend in person, please cancel your registration on EventBrite. You can re-register as a virtual attendee to attend via Zoom, but please ensure that your in-person registration is canceled before doing so. We hope that you are able to attend in person, but if unforeseen circumstances arise and you need to cancel your reservation, see instructions below:
